I might set the TIVO for it, knowing ITV they'll schedule it to try and steal ratings off Doctor Who :loopy:

I'll only start watching it when they start giving the contestant weapons - celebrity deaths are the only thing that could save television

Yes I watched it too and it reminded me of Gladiators. I was surprised that the celebs managed to overpower the masked celebrity who I think was Fatima Whitbread!!!

I will not be reminding myself to stay in and watch that again. :gag: I'd have more fun plucking ear hair out from my blokes ears!!!

No... Celebrity Wrestling... Celebrity Deathmatch is animated... something completely different...

This wrestling programme started on ITV1 Saturday 6.30pm and will be on for a further 7 weeks apparently...

I've had it taped for me so will give you my opinion once i've viewed it... not sure i want to now tho... as i have seen clips and looks just like Gladiators... :? (like someone above has mentioned)

How cack was this program... its like gladiators all over again!

Forget the bloody stupid games and give me proper celebrities beating the cack out of each other like wrestling proper.

Not some mini games involving the pugel sticks and a massive knockout ball.... cack.

Agreed, only I did not even make it to the first event!

Managed about 3 minutes before nearly poking out my own eyes!

Turning TV off was a better option:gag: ................

I think this is garbage. I don't know why Ian Freeman decided to turn his hand to panto either.

Apparently ITV are going to pull the plug on it soon - ratings are really low for it.

I can't say that I'm surprised. Some of the games are truly pathetic.

Also, scheduling it to clash with Doctor Who doesn't help, who's going to switch over to a Gladiators clone when they can watch Doctor Who on BBC 1?! :loopy:

Bit concerned by this bit :

============
ITV will be pinning its hopes on its next big reality TV show Celebrity Love Island, which begins on 16 May.

It will follow 12 celebrities enjoying themselves at luxury Fijian resort as viewers vote for who they think would make the best couple.
============

Would love to pair up some people just to be nasty
:P

The TV critic woman on GMTV this morning said that ITV were going to move it to a later slot - she thought it would attract a different type of audience as the show has had to be edited as some of the female contestants kept "popping out" of their outfits. Can't think why that would attract a bigger (male) audience..... :roll:

how can you hate the show?

I loved gladitors. So what, if its the same. Jo Legand and D-Lo are battling it out at the sheffield Area sometime this year. I wanna go and watch. I like wrestling. I can't believe Vixen won Ice Maiden on the lock down think where you chain each other down. Ice Maiden controlled 75% of the match. The ref is a cheat. Hope they are some fans of it on here!
:clap:

p.s. the actors in doctor who can't act! soz fans but it looks too fake (I NO WRESTLINGS FAKE TOO)
