why what's so good about rotherham?

i know for one that the housing prices are cheaper thinking of moving in there myself to many student's taken over the housing market in sheffield!!!

i can see your point aswell i was born in sheffield and have family that lives in the eastwood part of rotherham but i still prefer sheffield to rotherham!!!

Sheffield, obviously. It has much nicer areas, much leafier, more parks, Peak District on the doorstep, top hospitals and universities, etc etc. I could go on forever.

As the question is put in a slightly different way all I will say is that 99% of people will prefere the area there where brought up in or have lived in than a "Strange" area.

As this is Sheffield Forums with about 99% of the members being from Sheffield, don't you think that the poll is slightly biassed?

That is not the question being asked, read the Topics title.

but as I have now mentioned about 4 or 5 times in the various "We are better than you" threads but is still being ignored by Sheffielders ....


Rotherham has a lower crime rate (as of % of Population).

Lots of people would prefere the quiter town life to that in a busy city.

You could say that as well has its own failities its close enought to Sheffield for anything we havent got or when we want a change without having to cope with the overcrowding every day.

Traffic conjestion is less (this is what i meant with the overcrowding comment).



Now don't get me wrong, I am not one of the "We are brilliant, your all scum" brigade, take a look at my other posts in the other similar threads and most of my replies are correcting inacurate comments made about Rotherham and not slagging other areas / people off.
