Watched the whole thing and lost the last 10 minutes when the video player decided it hadn't taped it! Just wondered if Dr Bickleigh got away with murdering his awful wife. Despite the fact he was a bit woofing (barking mad), we were hoping he might get away with it. They were just in the middle of the trial when it went blank! Can anyone help please?
He was aquitted of murdering his wife. But then the twist in the tail...
...on the court room steps on the way out he gets arrested for the murder of one of the other characters (can't recall his name - one of them that had the potted meat sandwiches). The victim hasn't died of botchelism BUT typhoid. Apparently botchelism doesn't surviive in the open air and because of the flies etc. he inadvertantly produces typhoid instead.
It goes on to say that he's convicted of this murder and later hanged. 2 days before he's hanged he marrys the woman who has always loved him and who stands up for him in his wifes murder trail.

Thanks Nomme, it was so annoying not knowing how it ended!
I thought those flies would come in somewhere.
