designbunny 13-04-2005, 21:26 Does anyone know who all the pre-parliamentary candidates are for sheffield please? Also i need to find out their addresses too - or an address where they can be contacted. (for all parties)
PM me if you don't want to post them on here.
Thanks :)
carriewarr 13-04-2005, 21:54 Have you tried the main party web pages. I know the libdems one has the PPCs listed with contact details....
http://www.libdems.org.uk/party/people/ppcs.html?sort=constituency#list
Suspect the other parties have similar...
Cheers, Carrie
Sheffield constituency candidates can be found at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/vote2005/html/region_12.stm
Scroll down to the Sheffield constituencies and click each one for a list of candidates. No addresses however, but it's a start.
Disco_Cat 14-04-2005, 09:03 Although those names aren’t definite those parties can withdraw or new parties can still stand up until the deadline with final results announced Monday.
jgharston 14-04-2005, 21:39 I have this year's Sheffield election info at www.mdfs.net/Docs/Sheffield/Election/2005 with candidates and contact details. I update the lists as I get the information.

royjames 18-04-2005, 20:16 Ok I can now officialy confirm the BNP will be standing in ALL 6 Sheffield constituencys.
Bev Jones=attercliffe
Chris Hartigan=brightside
Mark Payne=central
Ian Senior=Hallam
John Beatson=Heeley
David Wright= Hillsbrough
Now consider this, last time we only feilded 2 candidates in the general election, this time a full sweep.
This shows the party is making great strides and it gives me immense plaesure to give the voters of Sheffield the chance to vote for us.

No, at least 4 of the candidates in this year's parliamentary elections stood in last year's local elections and their full contact details are available on that web page.
All UKIP candidates' phone numbers can be found here:
UKIP (http://www.ukip.org/cgi-bin/ppc/ppcsearch.pl)

12 of them:
Jonathan Arnott
Beverly Wright
Jonathan Harston
Chris Hartigan
Ali Qadar
Bernard Little
Charlotte Arnott
Rob Cole
Nigel James
Sidney Cordle
Colin Ross
Angela Smith
redrobbo 20-04-2005, 01:46 As Ali Qadar and Jonathan Harston were elected as Lib-Dem councillors last year, presumably they can be contacted at the Town Hall?
cgksheff 20-04-2005, 10:11 If a councillor wins a parliamentary seat does he/she resign the council seat?

They are not forced to, but most do. Some political parties make it a condition of membership that if you become an MP you have to resign as a councillor. Some parties make it a matter of personal choice.
jgharston 22-04-2005, 00:13 Before I forget, and to get the thread back on topic :)
mdfs.net/Docs/Sheffield/Election/2005 now has full list of Sheffield candidates and contact addresses.

Far be it from me to be pedantic, but I think you will find Knowle Lane is in S11 not S10 as stated for Sidney Cordle (Sheffield Hallam).
evildrneil 22-04-2005, 07:46 [MOD NOTE] The original posters question has been nicely answered so now closing this thread.
