My great grandmother is ??? Yates(poss Florence) and my great grandfather is Cotton poss harold?? they had several kids one of which is my grandmother Connie Cotton she is a twin with Nellie born 1926 she passed away 3 years ago cant find any marriage records for Yates & Cotton... Connie married Thomas Ryan C. 1954 awaiting marriage cert for Beatrice Hodgkinson and Thomas Ryan Snr will post more when know more.... any searching same tree????
Believe Thomas snr was from Ireland and that he was a member of Mooney Gang

my husband has both ryan and mooney in his family tree going back to 26th feb 1855 when patrick ryan married a mary mooney. not sure if she is related to mooney gang but with you saying you have a thomas ryan that was in the mooney gang could be a possability.patrick had sons stephen 1873 and william 1875 but not sure what happened to them or any of their family if they had any.mooney i have only mary born abt 1835.she came from ireland and so did patrick ryan.in 1871 they lived william st, parish of st georges and 1881 they lived white croft, parish of st philips. 1901 solly st.

Thomas Snr married Beatrice Hodgkinson on the 14 of September 1925
Thomas Snr was born in Ireland in 1892
Beatrice in Sheffield in 1904
Thomas's father was Thomas have been told that he might have lived on Thomas Street Dublin???
Beatrice's father was James

Harold Bernard Cotton & Florence Yates were both born in Barnsley around the turn of the last century but not exactly sure of any dates yet

Harold Bernard Cotton was born in Dewsbury in 1886 moving to Barnsley five yrs later and being in Sheffield by 1901 he died on x-mas eve 1953

his wife was Annie Elizabeth Yates born 3rd of Dec 1888 in Sheffield she died on the 26th of Feb 1970
they are buried in City Rd cemetery but sadly never had a headstone
