Hi everyone,
I am sorry for possible offtopic, but I need your help in find new web hosting provider as soon as possible, because my current host (bluehost.com) is kicking me off, they say 'your account is using a lot server resources', but my website gets only about 200 visitors per day and my disk usage is 1500 MB (maybe they do not like that?)

Anyway, what would be your recommendations for getting reliable web hosting? Where are you hosting your websites? Are you happy with your providers?

I am now checking hosting24.com - offer looks very nice, but is it real that they can provide unlimited disk space?
I have contacted them about this question and they say something that "These days 500GB disk drive costs only $30 per month, so if some day we will run out of disk space we will simply add new 500GB disk drive with almost zero costs and you can continue uploading without any problems".

What do you think about it? Maybe things have changed in last 4 years? With my current provider I get only 2GB of disk space for $10 per month..
Any ideas and suggestions are much appreciated.

I made a thread just like this a couple of weeks ago.

http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=359267

Went with QiQ and OVH in the end to see how they both fare.

Can't comment long-term yet obviously, but both were easy to set up and begin using.

I have my own hosting account, but my suppliers are pretty good!

Drop me a line with what you need and I'll see what I can come up with.

I use streamline.net who are cheap and offer unlimited bandwidth which is great. They're also pretty handy if you ever have an issue and always get back to you within 24hrs.

I recommend www.angelsolutions.net

Local servers, real chap on the end of a phone, sensible pricing and open to discussion about your needs. Been using them at work for a couple of years, can't fault them.

Had an account with http://www.1host.com for about nine years. And another with http://www.unitedhosting.co.uk for about two years.

Both have absolutely outstanding reliability and support. And the price ain't bad either!

I have found that US hosting, especially of *.com domains, is not a good idea.

Two months after using Webmaster Tools to set the geographic target to UK, my five or so sites still do not appear in "pages from the UK" Google searches. You can see the crazy lengths I am having to go to convince Google that my sites are of interest to UK searchers by looking at ...

Thanks Stu, for pointing out my error. Google has put this thread in its "pages from the UK", search results, so with luck, it might put my updated site in as well.

Don't see how it could be, they state unlimited () disk space.

Clook.co.uk

Where are you hosting your websites?

On a VPS with Clook:)

Are you happy with your providers?

Oh yes:thumbsup:

In a word? No!

"These days 500GB disk drive costs only $30 per month, so if some day we will run out of disk space we will simply add new 500GB disk drive with almost zero costs and you can continue uploading without any problems".

This is true, up to a point.

What happens if there are hundreds (maybe thousands) of domains on a single box, and all start to use 100G each?

What do you think about it?

I wouldn't go with a host that offers anyhting "unlimited".

Maybe things have changed in last 4 years?

HDs may have increased in size during the last four years, as has the size of OSs/files/logs....
