I was just trying to imagine if, in 6 months, the price of petrol has gone up even more and bills have gone up by 40% alongside food bills.
What will be the efffects on our everyday lives. What if people cant get to work as they cant afford to pay for petrol. What will employers do?
Over to you..

Employers wouldn't care as long as you got to work, even if meant you having to walk. They don't shut down in bad weather (nor did every employer show the tiniest bit of compassion for employees affeceted by the floods last year) so why would they close if got a bit more pricey to get to work?
Even if petrol doubled in price most people would still find the money for it because giving up your pub visits and Sky would be more likely than risk losing your job. People would just ration their car use, or some people would, while to others it wouldn't make very much difference unless petrol was £50 a gallon.
