can anyone remember the flashing map that was at the bottom of flat street,if you wanted to find a place in the city centre you could press the buttons and it would light up

Yep I remember it well, always a good meeting point, or by the round kiosk in Pond St

Can remember when you got the hot chestnut sellers there too!
Just opposite on the old bus station near the kiosk you also had the sweet machines where you put yr money in and used the sliding drawer to pull out your chocolate bar.
Gone right back to me youth now
