No, I love election time and read all I can about who's said what, not to mention all that wonderful tv coverage.

I am very interested in politics and like to see the xtra coverage and discussion that election time brings but I voted yes because

What I am fed up of is......all parties seem to be more interested in saying whats crap about the other sides policy than coming forward with what they will do instead.

hypothetical example....

party A - I want ro reduce class sizes

party B - You can't afford to do that.... we on the other hand will increase spending on the NHS.... Great, but what has that go to do with education...

It makes all parties look very childish with their tit for tat arguing without any real debate happening.

Yes but id rather a labour goverment be in power than any of the other parties so ill stick with them for the minute until a real alternative is offered!!!

I don't normally become embroiled in arguments about politics because whichever party you support is rarely going to change no matter how much huffing and puffing they do at election times.

Peronally I see little difference between supporting Teflon Tone, Mental Mickey or even the little Ginger Minger.
They are only in it for themselves and only want to speak to the likes of you and I when they need our X on a ballot paper.

The old parties have a lot to answer for, they have made politics into a dirty word.
I know what the voters ought to do and thats to vote for one of the smaller parties,at least the charge cant be brought against them having not had the chance to govern.
While ever the main parties think you will always vote for one of them ,then you wont ever see a change.
I would like you to vote for my party, but it really does not matter as long as you give the big 3 a miss.

How arrogant of royjames to presume that he knows what the voters ought to do "and thats to vote for one of the smaller parties"! If roy is a typical representative of his party, then, with an attitude like that - it sounds to me like folk maybe ought to stay clear of his fringe party?

As for being sick of the politics? - no. I too devour the daily paper, listen to the news, and am quite prepared to put up with election stuff, as it does only come round once every four years after all.

Music rules the world, the quicker people realise this the better :D I think there should be a national rock party... full of rock and metal legends :headbang: i'd vote for them out of principle... sure most of their manifesto would be to legalise drugs and make beer cheaper... but at least they'd be telling the truth about their plans ;)

anyways, music is the life and soul of the world, do politicians ever make you happy? do they hellers like, but music does! :D

I have no time for politics in general and it makes me want to sleep for a very long time. I have never voted and probably never will because I can't be bothered to read into what each party thinks will be better for the country. Politicians in general bore me. An old school friend of my sister's became one and she soon mastered the art of talking for 30 mins solid without actually saying anything at all. That can't be good can it.

I don't moan about one particular party because I don't honestly believe that any of them could make a major difference to this country. Getting rid of one party will just bring in another party to make mistakes in different areas. You can't please everyone but when election time comes along they suddenly reckon that they can. SO boring and pointless.

Sorry to those who love their politics. No offence intended. ;)
