interesting if a little bit simplistic on certain issues.

I agreed with the first choice that it suggested, but i'm quite suprised at the positions it assigned to the other parties in my preference to vote. not that it matters as we don't get to put a 2nd choice.

It said I should vote Lib Dem, how come the program knows what the Lib Dems would do but no-one else does ?

I did think it was a scam site created by the Conservative party to find out what their policies should be.

The test results told me to vote for the Conservative party. I am now going to scrub my gob out with swarfega.

Hmm... LibDem and UKIP seem to some pretty close together. I think that the difference may be that libdem appears ineffective and UKIP appears inappropriate?

According to this tests results I am positioned right on top of Mahatma Gandhi. I am not usually that way inclined but it has to be better than being on top of Maggie Thatcher.
Economic Left/Right: -4.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.62

I got UKIP on the first test with Lib Dems a close 2nd.
Labour and Conservative both got heavy minus points.

On the second test I was a little bit above and just to the right of Ghandi. I was glad I was nowhere near Hitler.

Your expected outcome:
Conservative

Your actual outcome:

Labour -13
Conservative 47
Liberal Democrat -30
UK Independence Party 43
Green 14

You should vote: Conservative
The Conservative Party is strongly against joining the Euro and against greater use of taxation to fund public services. The party broadly supported the Iraq war and backs greater policing and ID cards. The Tories are against increasing the minimum wage above the rate of inflation, and have committed to abolishing university tuition fees. They support 'virtual vouchers' for private education.

I voted strongly in favour of sending troops into Iraq, and keeping them there. Yet the result was I should vote Lib-Dem, (who were opposed to the war!). Is this poll biased?

The result is I should be voting lib dem.as if?:heyhey:

My vote should apparently go to Labour by a rating of 8.

It went like this:

Labour 8
Conservative -1
Lib Dem 2
UK Independance -9
Green -12

I still won't be voting but it's interesting to know where my views point me towards. :suspect:

Apparently I should be voting Lib Dem (70), followed by Labour (45), Green (18), UKIP (-44), Tories (-86). I definitely won't be voting Lib though!

I think I've only ever done these political surveys a couple of times and I always seem to come out pretty central leaning neither one way or the other. I've got none of the high scores that most people seem to have got. :|

No surprises there, then.

On the political compass: Left/right: -2,13
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.69

So that makes me a left wing libertarian. Better grow a beard, buy an oversize woolly jumper and get my old Jesus sandals on.

You should vote: Green
The Green Party, which is of course strong on environmental issues, takes a strong position on welfare issues, but was firmly against the war in Iraq. Other key concerns are cannabis, where the party takes a liberal line, and foxhunting, which unsurprisingly the Greens are firmly against. The Greens are also anti-Europe.

I did that a few days ago. Got mostly Lib Dems and then green second. However apparently it's quite biased and jacks you up to 50% more on Labour if you agree with top up fees, and the like.

LordChaverly
04-05-2005, 12:37
The test is definitely skewed towards the Greens. The questions do not exactly parallel the positions of the parties in the manifestos - they are oversimplifications. Perhaps the test is a new subliminal form of political persuasion

Just did the quiz... its saying I should vote UKIP.. second on the list was Conservative and third was Green (it was a -ve result for the others). I voted UKIP back in 1997.. mmm.. descisions decisions!!! I'm one of those last minute, mid twenties, undecided voters!

It's when there's 2 or more similar or identical threads running - the moderator's merge them together into 1 thread to cover the topic.
