I was wondering if anyone had any recollections of cable telly in Sheffield in the old days? I'm talking long before the days of Sky. I remember me mam telling me they got their telly via cable, probably in the 60s or 70s. Apparently, you could pick up other regional ITV stations as well as Yorkshire, such as Tyne Tees and Granada. I bet it was a bit cheaper than the packages today.......

It was called 'British Relay'. You can sometimes still see the cable linking between two council semis.
