Hi,
I play bass in izzie voodoo's (http://www.izzievoodoo.com)live band and we've had a few gigs around the area, usually with more rock/punk orientated outfits.
Our last gig was Sat 21st at The Plug, and it was ok - quite a varied line up - but I've been thinking about maybe bringing together a more electronica-focussed group of local artists, including DJs, VJs, dance acts and bands, to set-up a kind of one-off electronica mini-fest, or perhaps even a group of local acts that work together to organise regular bills of electronica at different venues.
So, is anyone interested? There may already be a separate electronica fest sometime in early October, we may even be playing there, but I'm keen to crack on with the idea now. Any takers? Even if you're just a bedroom muso with a handful of interesting ideas, why not give it a shot? The more the merrier, I reckon.
