View Full Version : Anti social behaviour in Woodhouse.
:( .....What the hell is wrong with people?. Sunday night, there was a gang heading towards my house, after they had kicked the garage doors, then two of the boys were fighting right outside my house, they then moved to the back and kicked my fence, to which ,my little girl witnessed, and when i had got down stairs, they had gone!..grrrrr!. Then 10 mins later, there were 2 idiots racing each other down the road, and again 5 mins later.then to top it all, a car came racing along near my house, he was easy doing 60mph, couldn't stop and ploughed straight into someones garden and car opposite the end of the road. The police were there within seconds, obviously they had been chasing him!. The driver was abusive towards the police. And, because of this, two trucks had to come and remove both cars, leaving the others obviously distraught. Thank god no one was there at the time walking home or walking their dog. Just what is wrong with todays society?. The police cannot be everywhere on a 24hr surveilance and watch the idiots moves constantly...so you know what i say?..bring back vigilantes!!!!..i'd gladly be one of them!!

redrobbo 12-04-2005, 22:17 Sorry to hear about the problems you've experienced in Woodhouse Destiny.
Vigilantes aren't the answer of course. If folk took the law into their own hands, then we'd have anarchy and mob rule.
Trust you've not experienced any more problems since the events of Sunday.
So that's what all the noise was about
I thought there was an unusual omount of tear Rsing about this weekend. I was under the impression there was some sort of race meeting on  (and I don't mean the police, there was a number of excitable drivers about)
I guessed there was a reason for Woodheads having a truck out after midnight :(
i can see where your coming from, it would cause other probs, i will agree with that, but some of these idiots need sorting out,and the gangs, well, by the time the police arrive, they're gone, only to return later. But i can really understand your point, and it's one that makes you go "oh yeah, oops!". It was only last year that an old lady got mugged outside my neighbours gate, there has been endless fights in the flats, drug abusers etc. But i trust you can see my point and that i am getting really fed up with it. And yes, it has been quiet since sunday.lets hope it stays that way!.It's a nice area....really...when it's quiet!!!

Yes Destiny, I see your point. I know folks who live in Woodhouse - and they love it to bits. But most areas have fools and tear-aways, alas.
The police are supposed to be doing more to address the issue of anti-social behaviour, such as you've described. I know that they are currently re-organising into more local policing areas. Let's hope this will help make a difference.

There are now 7 officers based in Woodhouse police station, covering an area from handsworth to mosborough.
Lets hope there are more in the pipeline
But that bluddy call centre needs sorting out
Dj_Shadowman 13-04-2005, 00:26 I thought that I had spotted more police than usual in Woodhouse over the past few days......pity they cant get to my part of the estate and sort the little b******s out.
Perhaps it's time we all did something constructive about this.
Is anybody on here part of the residents' assoc, or in a neighbourhood watch?
sigmar14 13-04-2005, 14:56 what part of woodhouse?
oldtimer 14-04-2005, 03:41 Get together with a few neighbours, get a couple or three Rottweilers, then go for a walk every night!!!!!

Unfortunately it's the dogs they'd put down and not the kids
It's obviously time to rush every spare Social Worker we've got int the Woodhouse area with some bags of sweets and holiday vouchers.
How can people condemn these little mites who only want to express themselves in the only way they know.
To talk about setting dogs on them is depriving them of their Human Rights. Some of them may be riddled with rabies , remember. The dogs I mean.
Would these be the scum who went on the rampage in the library and local funeral parlour over the week end?
Seadiver 14-04-2005, 16:29 Can we have pump action Shotguns and .44 Magnums as well as Rottweilers, if so count me in. Can we not have a few cops like Dirty Harry?
" Go ahead Chav, make my day "
Although I work in Sheffield, I live in West Yorkshire. We had a similar problem throughout our district and, after consultation with the local police, it was agreed to put extra community policemen/women on the beat and maintain a high profile with a surcharge on the poll tax. Sounds harsh but for less than £10 per year per household, we have all but eliminated the problem. Burglary and valdalism figures fell dramatically. Money well spent!
ahhhhhhhhhh poor Destiny, Bess er !!!.
If the home office took on board something like the recent series on tv called 'Bad Boys Army" which could be operated by possibly ex military police and SAS members then perhaps we MIGHT see some improvement.
These smackeads don't understand social kindness and the only way to bring them to their senses ( if they have any) is by physical and STRONG diciplinary action. They would be seen crying for their mummies and perhap, just PERHAPS would realise that if they returned to there idiotic ways, another dose but with a longer sentences would be forthcoming.
Whats duz tha say to that then Destiny ??
Blessings xxxxx
