Sounds like a great idea! It would definitely increase the appeal of Big Issue.

I wonder if the TV schedulers would agree to it though? Do they normally charge publications for the right to use their information? If so, they would have a lot of unhappy clients if Big Issue were given the TV schedules at a reduced rate or for free.

Also, would including a TV guide in it 'commericialise' Big Issue? At the moment I think they pride themselves on keeping it down to earth.

Answering a question with more questions :) ...

I'd buy the Big Issue if it wasn't so rubbish. I will gladly donate £1 to help the homeless but I shouldn't feel pressured into buying something I don't like.

I know there's currently a dispute between BI founder John Bird and the staff at the moment, but BI In The North is so full of Liverpool and Manchester stories that it just isn't of interest to me. I buy it occasionally, but not as much as I would do if it paid more interest to this side of the Pennines.
