Well, Brainthrust is an old nickname I had when I was 16.

My mates called me it based of a character named 'BrainThrust Leonard' in a book called 'The Tasmanian Babes Fiasco' which is a book of loosely compiled house sharing stories.

Anyway, I digress. The reason they called me it was because me, like the character was prone to making single momentary leaps of utter genius, saying the kind of ovious things no one else had spotted that made everything simple.

As for the avatar. I am a huge Homestar Runner fan. for those of you who don't know who Homestar and his freidns are, the simple answer is that they are a flash based web comic that is tupid but hilarious.

My favourite character is Homsar, but no-one knows who he is and StrongMad (my current avatar) is much funnier looking. Look he ambles along like a wall, total opposite of me (cos i am stick thin!).

Espadrilles were all the rage then and I am pleased to say that they are making a comeback.
They really rekindle fond memeories of long hot summers and the swinging sixties/seventies era.

Well mine is a combination of stuff i wanted to put in, on all the other sites I have a diff name altogether but I wanted to use Blades-lass , but thought people might think i was mad on footy and not cos I come from a steel city famous for blades,
so blades became Cut, but then Cutlass would've sounded too masculine for me, as well as being a type of weapon, so it became Cutglass.
The avatars change frequently, the first one I used (baghead) I noticed someone else started to use, so I change 'em depending on the mood I'm if they can fit the pixel size. I haven't a clue how to resize 'em so if they fit fine, if they don't I find summat else :thumbsup:

I chose my username ages and ages ago when I was at school, I always use it when I want to remain annonymous - wouldn't want my work to know what I get up to all day now would I! :heyhey:

And once you've got an image, a free editing program that I've used before is Irfan View (http://www.irfanview.com). Personally, I use Macromedia Fireworks, but it costs more than free. :wink:

My nickname became Shiesh (shay-sh) when I was a teenager and did regular babysitting for 18 mth old twins....neither could say my real name 'Michelle' and attempts at 'Shell' came out as 'Shiesh!!' It kinda stuck !!!!!!!! They've called me Shiesh since!!!!

I regularly use international online gaming sites and have always used ShieshUK as my username so am easily recognised as a UK player but not obviously female (you'll be surprised how many men won't play women or just wanna 'chat' and not play the game!!!

When I registered with the forum it was the natural choice!!

I have Elmo as my avatar as he was the only gif animation I had in my collection that would fit...others were too big!!

I recently changed to 'Peppa Pig' as I am a huge 'Peppa Pig' fan but she's not as colourful so have changed back...I think Elmo will have to stay....I think avatars are more recognizable than names!!

Well BrainThrust is an old nickname so I'd guess it does describe me to some people, and a fair few others call it me now instead of my real name so it'll do as a username (not that I could change it).

As for my avatar, it used to be StrongMad for a long time and that doesn't really describe me at all since I am tall and thin and he is essentially a giant cube in a leotard. I did show my love for home star runner though. As for now, my avatar is an Image from Trigun, an Anime TV series and another TV show I really like. I don't really watch much TV and so something about it must have really grabbed me for me to keep watching.
