I borrowed a D80 and SB800 last week, the first time I try Nikon's remote flash function.
Any advise?

I would say very well done for 1st time efforts.
I like the 3rd picture where you have smooth light on the model and no shadow.Did you use a diffuser or you bounce the light off the ceiling/wall? And you have carefully place the flash at strategic angle or otherwise we'll see reflectance on the window.
I also like the 3rd photo of the silhouette of a girl and tripod against the sunset from the second batch of picture. Well composed and good control of exposure.
I wished to get my hand on the SB800 flash and try some flash photography, but then I don't have pretty model like yours at disposal. :hihi::hihi:

I placed the flash towards the wall on the right by using remote function, and let the flash smooth the light of the room. Cos the room is small, a single SB800 can effect the whole room.
Also I use a fast lens, Nikon AIS-35/1.4 and set it between 2.0~2.8, it can smmoth the image as well.
