I'm wanting someone to come out and microchip the horses. I seem to remember someone on here was registered to do it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hello,

There's another thread floating about microchipping, but I can't find it to link to sorry!
I answered on it though, that I've just read in Grapevine that Broomhill Vets are having a special offer on Microchipping, and the vet sounds really friendly in the article. It said she chips all kinds of animals. Hope this helps!

Jess,

I just had my vet come out and had one of my girls chipped :D It cost £25.00.

Are your horses vaccinations due? Perhaps you could combine the two to save on callout fees?? :D

Only a vet can Microchip a horse - most on here are ok with dogs - but defo not horses
i would second the freezemarking - and often off the saddle patch is best

The vet's lovely - she's so wonderful with my animals but she's a small animal vet (at least that's how it was when I worked for her).

Thanks everyone, vacs are not due til September but got the vet coming out Monday anyway so will ask then. I'm having her freezemarked soon too, just gathering together a few in the area so we get a good deal.

Hi Jess it is me that does microchipping but vets need to chip horses. I am only licenced to do cats and dogs.

We had ours chipped by Chris Green vet which was £20, we also have them freezemarked.

I saw that post earlier and have called a few of my friends who stable around that general area and none of them knew who those ponies belong to :(

What is the latest news?
