I've just been watching it... Makes me PMSL at all the silly dances to some of the songs.

But then again, the 70s brought about some of the most retarded dances ever, Agadoo and the Birdy song anyone? Even when you're drunk you look like a div doing them.

Sorry Rich, both songs were from the 80's!

Great band, Mud were. Still got a concert programme somewhere and an old pair of Les Gray style sunglasses.
They wanted a band name that would stick !!!

Like the really old stuff 60s and very early 70s quite dissapointed with top2 as it doesn't show a lot of the really old stuff.

The dance Les Gray used to do on TOTP for Tiger Feet when he "platted" his legs, he knicked it from The Shadows. He said that on Channel Four's The Glam Top Ten broadcast in the mid 90s.

Regarding Paul's comment "Like the really old stuff 60s and very early 70s quite dissapointed with top2 as it doesn't show a lot of the really old stuff":
Top Of The Pops or anything for that matter pre 1976 is quite elusive in the BBC archive. For example there are only a handful of complete editions out of two or three hundred left from the 1960's (it was first broadcast in January 1964 from Manchester) and there's only one complete edition left from 1972: Sweet, Slade, Bolan performances lost forever. Criminally they never saw a market for future generations so much was wiped or even broadcast live. Old TOTP's never to be seen again unless recorded at home on the rarely owned VCR pre 1976.

That's another one I see at practically every Party I've ever been to.

I tell you, who the flip makes up all these daft dances to the songs? :loopy:
