Will try and explain this bare with me! I often when looking through a particular section on the forum find the need to pm someone who has posted. For instance when finding a for sale advert in the crafts group, i'll go into the thread, click on the users name to pm them asking them to repost in classifieds. What I find annoying is that after i've pm'd them I have to go back to the start and re-find the thread I was on, I can't go straight back to the crafts group, I have to go to home page and back into the groups again. Is there a way to have the option of returning to the thread you left to write the pm?
Hope that makes sense, i'm tired :)
I agree and what I usually do to avoid that pallava is to use the browser back button which is also a tedious pain because it takes me back through the whole sequence of pages to get back to where I've been. Also hope that makes sense cos my head's done in. :P
One way of doing it is instead of left-clicking on Send a Private Message, use the right mouse button instead. This will give you the option to open the link in a new window.
Write your message and when it's sent, you can close the new window.
Your original window is exactly the same as it was. :)

Depending on your browser, there should be a down arrow next to (or part of) the back button. If you click this, you'll see a list of previous pages and you should be able to go straight back to the one you want.
I think I know what you mean Kittena.
If I'm understanding you correctly, when reading the thread, see someone you want to PM...
click on their name..
then mouse over send a private message.. then press and hold shift, and click on send a private message.
You can then send a PM on a separate window, then close it afterwards and carry on.
ETA, just noticed, you posted this ages ago.. sorry. (And I spelt your name wrong:hihi:)
I agree, all that going back again afterwards is a bit of a pain in the bum
Depending on your browser, there should be a down arrow next to (or part of) the back button. If you click this, you'll see a list of previous pages and you should be able to go straight back to the one you want.
Failing that, click the right mouse button over the back button and a list will drop down...pick and choose.
Don't tell everyone my little secret
