Since this doesnt seem to have been posted and the BBC dont seem to have advertised it at all and finally since I am a sad git that searches tv listings for things to watch I have found that the new series of Top Gear starts this Sunday 22/06/2008 finally some television to actually look forward too.

The first episode:-

New series. Jeremy, Richard and James test new police cars, introduce a new team member and offer advice on dealing with rising petrol prices. With guests Alan Carr and Justin Lee Collins.

I have never posted a banana before but this certainly seems like the right time to do so :banana::banana::clap::clap:

This was a good episode and a great start to the new series, made me laugh out loud when they tested their home made police cars!:hihi:

Stuff repeats or recordings JFK. Most stuff is available on the net now. Better quality than VHS I find, and it saves recording the wrong channel (as I normally do:hihi:)

I've saved BBC iPlayer, ITV and C4 catch up as favourites, and am wondering why I'm bothering to pay for my TV license.

Yes, it's on iplayer (the best thing on the net just now... and apparently slowing us all down!)

I totally <heart> Top Gear. I don't know quite why, but I do.

Maybe it's the peculiar Britishness of it all; It has an airfix model quality... They really don't take anything too seriously, especially themselves!
Why do I like it?
It certainly isn't the pretend un-rehearsed talkie bits!
Or is it??:suspect:

The only problem with the show was Alan Carr - is he the most irritating person ever? I not he has to be getting pretty close...

I had to turn down the volume when he was on, annoying c&*t that he is.

Great episode though, was pmsl at the police cars.
Im now in debt to the iplayer, now I dont have to wait to watch it on Dave :hihi:

One of my mates is the spit of Alan Carr, keeps getting asked for autograph.
And he's not gay!
It's somehow a bird puller for him:confused:

Anyway, Top Gear, back to form. Sundays have just got better again.

Is Top Gear more important than Newsnight?

I think so!

I like top gear, but unfortunately i missed last week's episode (saw a little bit of the police car thing that looked cool). However i did see last nights and i have to say it was almost entirely lame. When they were in the stuido all the 'conversation' was scripted and acted out terribly, you could see James May reading off a sheet cues for Clarckson's 'witty one liners', which were hardly funny anyway. Speaking of which, i hardly laughed at all for the whole show and even had to pause it and do something else halfway through 'cause i got bored.

anyone agree?

Yeah, it was very, very boring last night. It failed to distract me from t'internet. Rubbish 'stars' too. The only good but was Ckarkson being cruel to Hammond near the Cool Wall. Even James May wasn't nerdy enough last night. :(

More stupidity please!

I know we had to wait till the end, but you weren't even mildly distracted by the report on this beauty (http://www.carbodydesign.com/archive/2007/05/15-mercedes-benz-clk-63-amg-black-series/Mercedes-Benz-CLK-63-AMG-Black-Series-2-lg.jpg)?
