Ooooo how exciting for you, good luck with him. You're right torties are girls, sometimes people get mixed up and call tabby's torties. Still doesn't matter what colour he is, he'll still be gorgeous!

:D Great news a kitten at last
Sorry to have to to say this (and maybe too late) but your right tortoiseshell cats are always 99% female, I would check if I were you.
Pics please...ooh I love tortoiseshell cats :)

:D Awww two kittens are so much better than one anyway, they will keep you and your son entertained for years to come.
Two also cuts down on the scratches and bites that you inevitably get with kittens when they play, they tend to do the rough stuff to each other rather than to you.

No at 6 months, they might do toms a bit earlier though if he's developed enough.

That's music to my ears - I am bringing home our two new kittens from CATS tomorrow and don't need any more scars on my hands!!
We got two to keep each other company while we are out, although the original plan was only for one aswell!

Aww what kittens are they?
It was absolutely brilliant having two kittens, they were so funny and playful I would love to do it all again, and probably will (but not for many years) if you need to leave yours while you work just make sure that they are left in a room where they can't do too much harm though, 2 kittens are lively and knock things over.

Two of the young tabby-and-white Poppy's kittens, the black-and-white boy and the white-and-black girl (we have decided to call them Wiggy and Imbiss). We have fully kitten-proofed the spare room, and anyone who comes to stay is relegated to the sofa bed until the kits are more confident and settled.
We're so excited!

the one looking at the camera is called tigger (as named by my 1 yr old) the one sleeping is unnamed as its for my 3yr old who is at nursery.

aawwww they're so cute! I've had just about every colour of cat over the years i think, but never had a tabby, except a silver tabby. They're very pretty!

aww they are lovely bobgirlsnake. Two together is much better- they will be great company for one another and are more likely to develop good manners as they wont be hassling their human family for attention all the time. Of course, it's also twice the mischief, so hide your houseplants, don't have fresh or potted lilies in the house, keep the toilet lid down, check the tumble dryer and the washer before you switch them on and keep electric cables out of sight...Just some of the things a curious kitten might try to delve into.

Enjoy!

They are gorgeous , we had a male and female kitten together and got the male done at about 5 1/2months (Athough he was quite a big kitten). Its a smaller operation for them than the girls so do him first. I don't really think milo noticed :suspect:
