:huh:has anyone had any problems with thair dog eating this food?
fern my guide dog was very happy having this food she's been on it for 2 2/1
years naw so its not like its something that i have just tried.
hills have made it really dry just recenly ware as it was quite soft before
and naw she is just eating half of it.
she has to have this food as she has a few medical problems being;
i,b,s dermatitus, dont know if i spelt that right! & cololns desise
so i carnt stop giving her this food and woludent anyway as she can be
very very funny and picky with her food but for her to turn her nose up at this is srange i might have her to the vet to just have her cheacked out !
:(:(:P

You could try mixing a little Natur Diet wet food in - it's good stuff (can get it from Pets at Home and most pet stores). Ailsa won't eat dried food on it's own- she has Burns mixed with Nature Diet. Some of the dried foods seem to be a whole lot drier and bland looking now. None of my cats will entertain Hills- we use Royal Canin instead - I think they have some prescription ranges too

I don't know if this is a good thing to do or a bad thing to do, but when Joe went through a stage where he didn't eat dry food, my mum always added gravy to it and he gobbled it up.

Gravy is all very well but it's quite high in salt and so can be very harsh on their little kidneys.

If you make your own meat stock (just meat bones, vegetables and water) without salt then that is lovely to wet your dry food with, but you do have to remember that anything that makes the biscuits less crunchy does stop it being as good for their teeth.

hi thanks for your suggestions i mix hills dry + the hills meat as well.
and no i couldent use gravey as she's a guide dog but i do see whot you mean.
my husband has just reminded me that she was like this last year in the summer.
and all i did then was what she diddent eat the day before i put in the
fridge and gave it her the next day.
and that is what i have started doing the vet has okyed me doing that .
and golden retrevers are a bit funny with food supposely is this right?
its just what the vet has told me?:huh:
