As the title says, is it allowed? Im seeing a few here doing it and of course like any business, I would take up any free advertising opportuinities, but most forums dont allow it, dont want to get into any bother, better to ask first!!

No, not allowed. Did you miss the 'sticky' at the top of the page which tells you how to go about it? Basically, use the jobs & employment section.

ha ha very funny. No, I tell you I can read, I just didnt SEE it. Maybe I am just blind instead!
So where on this forum could I advertise a free PPC (Google Adwords/Pay Per Click)course? Or cant i?

I dont see a problem with you advertising a free course for the benefit of other forum users, and if you happen to get some free advertising / business as a result then that cant be helped!
Start another thread though (look at me getting all moderator like!)

ok, I supermod a business forum so I know not to do things but I guess some forums operate slightly different. This section is new since I was last here.

I think self promotion is OK - SO LONG AS it helps someone - a free training course say (and we have done that)
A blatant pitch just wastes everyones time (although it is always interesting to see how other people promote themselves)

Users are permitted a single thread on which to promote their services in the 'Jobs Wanted' area but other than that please restrict your self-promotion to your signature.
EDIT- If someone posts asking about a business to perform a service which your business covers then you may also respond with your details, but this is only applicable to current threads (not dredging up old threads in order to get another plug on the forum).

ok thanks for the guidance.
Ive stuck up my thread for the ppc course. I dont want any ppc work from this either, as I plan to expand the courses to a wider geographic area, but need to start somewhere!
