Have just bought this phone and have downloaded the correct driver (DKU 5 cable driver) and the PC Suite from the Nokia site. When I try to connect it says there is no phone attached when there is. Has anyone else had this problem and solved it ? Thanks in anticipation.

I had trouble with the Nokia suite. The instructions aren't all that good.
Best bet would be to uninstall everything. Make sure phone isn't connected, reboot and install cable driver, and then the latest version of the PC suite.
Don't use the ones on the CD, download the ones from Nokia's website - you may have to hunt around a bit. It didn't all work right for mine until I had found and installed the cable driver, cable modem driver, one touch access package and then the PC Suite.
It all works well now though!

I tried using Nokia PC Suite once, it was awful and didn't work anyway, so I binned it. That was not so long ago with the latest version from the Nokia site.

Now I just browse my phones files through Windows Explorer, once the driver is installed it's a lot easier to do it that way.

Thanks Lurch & Hotphil

I thought of doing it through Windows Explorer as that's how I do it for one of my cameras but nothing comes up.

Do I need to download the cable modem driver even though I wont be using it as a modem, and is the one touch access package a seperate download ? I can't see it on the site.

I won't be using mine as a modem and the One Touch software just simplifies the set-up of the phone as a modem. I was getting frustrated and installed everything I could find to make sure I didn't miss anything and it's been OK.
I've not had a single issue with the Nokia PC Suite once installed and found it to be very useful and easy to use. IMO it puts Sony Ericsson's half-hearted attempt to shame.

Just to add, the drivers I installed were for the modem only AFAIK. I use bluetooth, I just paired the phone, and it appears in My Computer as a removable drive when connected. TBH, most of it was just luck!

I always found the Ericsson Suites better, personal preference I suppose.

One thing that is absolutely useless on the Nokia PC Suite, (for me anyway), was the backup and restore feature. I had to change the phone so I backed up all contacts, settings and everything else. The idea is it creates a carbon copy of the phone so you can swap easily, it doesn't, it just copied the telephone numbers and that was it. Absolute waste of time.

You may find that once you manage to get PC Suite working the Windows Explorer option may just start working, it's always been a bit random in my experiecne.
