Anyone remember the subways at the manor around 1977 or 78 when they had paintings of schoolkids and stuff drawn in them. I don't remember whether they did this in town but at Manor Top it was done by a local school I think. They were soon vandalised and it was eventually painted over.

hi yes i remember them . There was a subway from the halifax side that led to the corner of what was fred hartley and a row of shops that led to the amusement arcade and car accessory shop...i remember the paintings and the litter lol:D

hi i work on the manor now id totaly forgot they existed till i read this yea was about 1979ish i remember using them but they was disgusting smelled of urine pretty scary really i remember dodgin the cars on the road risking death lol it felt safer than going under there they was mingin xx ha ha ha ha remember showing off in fred harltey ever friday for a new toy before going to the manor club with my mum n dad hated that place too :D

i remember them

there were paintings of a bus, car etc

the paintings were done by the kids from prince edwards school for the silver jubilee
