Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know what's happening to the Hancock & Lant site (Lady's Bridge) I heard they were moving and something about the site being redeveloped?

I am intrested in what's happening to the site? i would be greatful for any contribution.

Aparently it's going to be Apartments.

Yes, apartments and I think a mix of offices as well. There were a few articles in the local papers last year about it. They are going to be keeping some (or maybe all, can't remember exactly) of the old building and adding a futuristic looking metalic tower kind of thing. Opinion about the design seemed to be 'mixed' at time, but I haven't heard anything for a while.

This building was discussed on the forum some time ago and some really useful person put a link on to some photos of it.

I have just tried to search the site - but not found it....

can anyone else remember the thread where the link might be ?
or better still were you the helpful chap who found the link last time!

Cheers for your reply's and your time, all the information as being really useful! I needed to find out the status of the Lady's Bridge area because i was intrested in renting a flat around the corner.

However, with the construction work most likely to be taking place i.e. noise, dust, i would have to reconsider.
