All the ferries from Liverpool no longer go to Dublin.
You now have to go to Holyhead which is a pain.
Can anyone tell me why this is so, and if Liverpool will re-enstate the ferry service.
I went on Seacat last year but the seem to have gone into oblivion.
It will return very shortly! This info is from the BBC website:
Liverpool to Dublin link restored
The fast ferry service from Liverpool to Dublin has been restored creating 110 jobs.
A new company has been formed to operate the route starting next month after it was dropped by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company last Autumn.
The first fast ferry link between the cities began in 1997 and operated two round trips a day.
But that was cut to one after European Union rules banned duty free sales, which saw a fall in day trippers.
The new company Irish Sea Express said it will operate two trips each day from 28 April using a former Manx Seacat renamed Sea Express 1.
The catamaran will make the crossing in four hours carrying more than 400 people and about 80 cars.

The Steam Packet Company runs a daily service from Liverpool to Dublin and back from March to October, but staff were told yesterday (Nov23 2004) the operation was being withdrawn.
...
The announcement came on the same day that Ryanair revealed it was bringing in four new aircraft and nine new destinations from Liverpool, many beginning in March.
