Strix 11-04-2005, 01:48 change the file extension in explorer? At this time of night?? Strix 11-04-2005, 01:56 what software do you already have? Can't you open it in Paint and just 'save as' but change the file extension in the dropdown box? Kristian 11-04-2005, 01:59 Originally posted by Strix what software do you already have? However, BoroughGal has previously sworn me to secrecy, and has asked me not to reveal.......now how shall I phrase this.....delicate matters. (However, BoroughGal, we must time this a little bit better next time - my arms are tired from all that waving in your direction). Redrobbo BoroughGal 11-04-2005, 02:54 I'm here, I'm here! Thanks - I'm going to try it now. Await an update! BoroughGal 11-04-2005, 02:55 And Redrobbo, can't begin to tell you what's I'VE got that's tired! All that waving! redrobbo 11-04-2005, 03:14 Originally posted by BoroughGal And Redrobbo, can't begin to tell you what's I'VE got that's tired! I promise to keep our secret. Now.....back on topic......can anyone tell me what is a .bmp or a .jpg? :help: BoroughGal 11-04-2005, 03:23 Nope, saving it as a different format isn't working! BoroughGal 11-04-2005, 03:27 I'm trying to do a leaving (retirement) poster for someone at work. Someone has sent me a scanned (old) photo of the person, but I can't work Paint (call me stupid). I'd far rather use Photo Editor, but that will only open with jpg's, I think? I'm struggling to do a really basic poster and wish I'd never offered. I can do it in Fireworks though, assuming you haven't already got two copies now. (Slightly confused myself there, didn't notice page 2)! BoroughGal 11-04-2005, 05:29 Kris sent me it in jpg format, thanks all, but I think I just can't do what I want - full stop! I've come to the conclusion that I was the wrong person to ask about doing a poster - I don't know how to do it. Don't worry y'all! And thanks again. :D :D :D matsalleh 11-04-2005, 07:17 As this is a Hillsborough post,I know you have solved your problem, but irfan view will do it for you.Free download.
