Anyone know how to do this easily without me having to download a load of software?

change the file extension in explorer?

what software do you already have?

Can't you open it in Paint and just 'save as' but change the file extension in the dropdown box?

I have just returned from the top of a hill at Arbourthorne, and can report that BoroughGal has once again been in communication with me from my vantage point. Nope, saving it as a different format isn't working!

I'm trying to do a leaving (retirement) poster for someone at work. Someone has sent me a scanned (old) photo of the person, but I can't work Paint (call me stupid). I'd far rather use Photo Editor, but that will only open with jpg's, I think?

I'm struggling to do a really basic poster and wish I'd never offered.

Doesn't work that well in Paint, it loses all the 'goodness' of the pic.

I can do it in Fireworks though, assuming you haven't already got two copies now. (Slightly confused myself there, didn't notice page 2)!

Kris sent me it in jpg format, thanks all, but I think I just can't do what I want - full stop!

I've come to the conclusion that I was the wrong person to ask about doing a poster - I don't know how to do it.
