I am fed up with walking out my front door or down my road and being faced with a huge (I mean horse sized) pile of ****, I like dogs but have cats but wish dog owners would take some responsibility. I have kids that venture out every morning to face this ****. Is there anything the council will do if I contact them?:rant::rant:

please don't tar all dog owners with the same brush, I always clean up after my dogs as do my children. I agree with you entirely about dog mess left in the street it is horrible - it is also horrible to have someone elses cat leave their mess in my garden;)

I am not taring all dog owners with the same brush, I am just trying to release my frustration of the local one that is obviously not clearing it up and seek a solution or advise from a local forumer.

i hate that too, there's always loads round where we walk our dog. we always clean up after her, i can't understand people who just walk off and leave it.
i also hate cat mess on my garden, but i don't supppose there's a lot i can do about that.

I have to say I hate to see it too, we always pick our poo up from the dogs. I also carry loads of poo bags if i see someone leave the poop i offer them a bag to pick it up in . I look after children too so find it horrid when they tread in it. I would wait and see who it and dash out with a few poo bags just to get them to do it , they will soon stop doing it , if it continues report it to local council.

Unfortunatley there will always be those who will get us a bad name. Perhaps a call to the local dog warden, they came round our area a put washable chalk notices on the pavements... dont know if they work, but there needs to be more dog bins in my opinion. I pick up when Josh poohs but sometimes its a right hike with a smelly bag of pooh before I find a bin... perhaps thats the problem in your area, no bins, again the dog warden might be able to help. It really annoys me when I see it too, because people look at me with my dog and must be thinking that I am one of the people who leave it on the street.
However there are worse things, like broken glass and needles....

The council should give you advice, they will put up signs saying clean up and have someone monitor the area for a while.
