Do you have people upon whom you can rely, who, through thick and thin can be relied upon for consistent responses and pearls of wisdom?

In my life I have several, in my home life, my political life and my sporting endeavours. I also have several on the forum but 2 stand out for special mention, one for consistently sailing close to the wind and making me, as a moderator, keep on my toes. The other, for his political opposition to just about everything I post on here.

So, I know who my 2 anchors are on the forum does anyone else have any anchors on whom they can rely?

I have no one and have had no one since my parents died when I was 13.

I have me and Im more than enough for me to get by in life.

My OH hates this because she insists that I can rely on her but after 40- odd years looking after number one, its got to be a habit, she keeps trying to prove herself to me but whatever crisis that appears is already dealth with, by me so shes redundant as far as being my "Rock" is concerned.

So, only 1 anchor, you. I always feel that you need at least 2 anchors to have any stability.

I have a couple, 1 definate always there whenever I need them and one who will be there if required.

So that's a whole load of 2 (parents don't count as that's a given in my life luckily)

My children, and I rely on my intuition, have often been told I'm psychic in fact I was going to start an unusual thread and decided not to, the same day someone posted it!

Having had very little in the way of anchorage as a child, I've gone on to more than make up for it in my adult life.

Having previously worked in the Entertainment industry for a number of years, it's very easy to let a fast and glamourous lifestyle elevate you beyond the norms of reality. I'm fortunate that there are a number of special people in my life who have helped me to stay grounded. Including, on rare occasions, giving me a royal butt kicking.

I think it'd be fair to say also that I'm seen as a bit of an anchor by a few people. Well I think they said anchor.
