Drove past the bottom of Norton Lane over the roundabout at the Blackstock Road/Hemsworth Road junction today at about 2.30pm and a police patrol car blocking Norton Lane!!

Anyone know what was going on.....the police helicoptor was hoovering above too....!!

No idea if it was blocked at other end too, where it joins Bochum Parkway at the Jordanthorpe roundabout near Graves Tennis and Leisure...

Everything gone now.....traffic flowing normally!!

Were they perhaps trailing a bunch of intoxicated women carrying a large trellis? :D

It is understood that at 1.45 pm today the newly commissioned South Yorkshire Police Helicopter was involved in its first incident.

Norton Lane over the roundabout at the Blackstock Road/Hemsworth Road was sealed off due to an armed chav running amock, threatening to shoot the Water Tower!!!

Police and other emergency services were on a high state of alert as had these threats been carried out, a deluge of water would have flooded Gleadless Valley.

The day was saved due to the SYPD Force Helicopters new attatchment, the Dyson DC07 Aeronautical Fixture with built in pollen filter. Mr Smith from Hemsworth road reported, "the chav had 3 warnings from the helicopter vac, via a PA announcement, it said that he had 10 seconds to comply" Mr Smith later said that after making a quick brew he returned to his observation post to see the man being sucked from the ground as if by magic! He added "I couldnt believe it!" Mr Smith finally stated "even my wife, Edna, werrr shocked!"

A police spokesman later added, we have one in "custardy" and commended the new Dyson attatchment on the Police Helicopter by stating.........

"Nowt Sucks Like Ya Mothers Dyson, Lad!"

I dunno :shakes: ... I always thought it was... ask a silly question get a silly answer... :?

So why is it when someone is asking for further information on what could be a serious incident... people post silly or daft replies?

The only trail we left whilst doing our marathon trellis trek was the joy and happiness we gave to everyone who saw us and waved and smiled at us. We have been booked by Wetherspoons (Woodseats) as a regular Sunday comedy double act each week at around 3.30pm. Tickets available on the door. Pie and peas included. No vegetarian option available.

Ruby also had bruising in the err, chest area and me under my arm. Both arms ached the next day. Ruby may have had some sun burn and I did feel slightly worse for wear later that day as the effects of the gin and tonics wore off...

NB No animals were harmed in the making of this trellis trek

It was a stolen car as far as I know - came within a few mm of hitting my brothers car head on with a copper on his tail.
