This on behalf of my sister-in-law.
She has tried coventional methods to try and stop smoking ,none worked.
I know will power has alot to do with it but she wants to try acupuncture
Is there anyone on the forum that has stopped with acupuncture or knows someone who has or can just recommend an acupuncturist

Has she tried talking to her gp and getting referred?

if you pm MsBehavin she runs smoking ceasation (as in to Cease Smoking). She may be able to help. Its all paid for by the national health service and wont cost like acpuncture does.

I was a social smoker for years and stopped in January this year.... to be honest dont even crave them now.

Just an idea but has she tried hynotherapy? my mum used to work for Martin St James in Leeds and they had clinics to help people stop smoking.

She has tried hypnotherapy which worked for a while
and also local cessation group
I also stopped in January after smoking for 24 years with the help from local group and Zyban
But she is desperate to try acupuncture

A former workmate, then aged 62, was smoking 60 a day, and had done so for more years than he cared to remember. He had never tried to stop smoking before, but suddenly decided he wanted to put his hard earned money to better use. He had acupuncture. From the day of his first treatment, he never smoked again. He never had any cravings to smoke either. That was about 13 years ago now.

Do you know the name of the acupuncturist or can you find out for her
