View Full Version : Blueyonder internet - Keeps on disconnecting S3 area

Hi,

My Blueyonder Broadband Internet keeps on disconnecting me after approx 15mins.

Upon rebooting the computer sometimes it lets me back on to the net (like now) sometimes it doesn't.

I've rung up Blueyonder twice and they've done a reset on their end, but both times after 15 mins it disconnects.

The second time I rung up they said there may be a fault in the area.

Just wanted to know if its affecting anyone else, and are there any solutions.

Sounds like you could need an engineer out for this or possibly a new cable modem.

Is your cable modem connnecting to your PC via USB or is it one of the older ones which use a network card in your PC? If so try replacing the network card as the free ones were crap.
Other than that is your computer up to date with antivirus and spyware software? Sounds very strange, are any of your neighbours on broadband and if so do they have any problems?
might be worth an ask.

Whenever I've had problems (very rarely due to BYs reliability), I post to blueyonder.support.access.hi-speed first. Tech Support on there is so much more helpful than on the phone.

(there's nothing in the newsgroup at the moment suggesting a local problem)
