View Full Version : Manchester United - What now?
Well were ****ed.
We are going to come 3rd hopefully this season due to todays **** poor effort.
I think if this continues- we do really need to do the unthinkable and start thinking of getting some new personnel in to sort us out + also the though has crossed my mind now again of SAF going out and a new boss coming in.
We are getting crap again fast..
Is there anyone better than SAF? Not that i know of :?
ManU have great players but there are some that don't quite 'cut it' when it comes to changing the direction of a game.
The bigger worry is going to be who replaces Roy Keane! I can't see ManU replacing him in the next 10 years.
I just dont think SAF can motivate our players anymore, I really dont!
We need better players- which I dont think we are going to be able to bring in at the close of the season and also when Keano goes that will probably hurt us for a long while until we find a replacement.. I'd personally say Gattuso.. but I cant see him leaving Milan.
Agent Gypo 10-04-2005, 10:55 I know some of you will disagree, but I think Man Utd's era of success is finally over. I can't see them dominating the league now like they have for the last 10 years.
A quick glance at their team sheets of late tells a sad tale of decline; Phil Neville and Quinton Fortune in midfield. These two would find it hard to get a game at West Brom, so why they get a place in Man Utd's lineup is beyond me. Howard and Carroll likewise.
Whilst they have superb riches in attack, and a couple of gems in defence, Man Utd's midfield is ageing and desperately needs a worldclass midfielder or two. Sorry, Giggs and Keane just aren't up to it any more.
It seems that Ferguson thought he was going to collect 3 easy points against Norwich. He paid the price for not showing them any respect.
Why were Rooney, Van Nistelrooy and Ronaldo all on the bench? Surely he wasn't resting them for the Semi Final which were over a week away.
Ferguson was in a right strop afterwards also, he refused to give an interview - Which I can't remember him ever doing before. He even refused to speak to Man Utd TV. :D
£51000,000 worth of strikers sat on the bench
:hihi: :hihi:

Up the Canaries
Yodameister 12-04-2005, 08:02 I love ManU fans I really do.
They have not finished outside the top 3 for about 15 years. They've won god knows how many trophies and then every time they lose they act l;ike it is an absolute disgrace and heads should roll.
If they won the premiership every season their fans would be unhappy if they lost a game, and then if they won every game, they'd be upset if they conceded a goal.

Agreed, or maybe just greed now I think about it.
Man U are scum!

All you ManU fans out there, note the fact it wasn't me who used the S word!
Agent Gypo 12-04-2005, 10:24 I think it's great for football when teams who spend loads of cash aren't guaranteed success. Some of Man Utd's purchases have been baffling though, ever since they won the treble.
Take note Chelsea, England is waiting for you to fail.
stop panicking, it's very simple...
just need a new goalkepper and 1 or 2 more midfielders to create genuine competition in midfield. The strikeforce and defence are fine.

They've needed a decent goalkeeper since 1999.

I wish we would get Casillas from Madrid, he was superb against Barca the other day.
As for the midfield we probably need 2 or 3, I'm afraid to say Keane is past it and Giggs and Scholes are not too far away.
Ronaldinho, Frank Lampard and Roben would be nice, though I think not likely as we're skint.
Agent Gypo 12-04-2005, 15:39 I couldn't see Lampard going to Man Utd, and I agree, they couldn't afford any of them anyway.

Something more like £90m on the bench fella!
The problems at my beloved club.
1> Still need a world class goalkeeper ie: Casillas
2> MF is getting ****e unfortunately
3> Ruud still playing cack.. still feeling the injury??
4> DF not concentrating enough
5> No money for the close of season
6> Glazier acting like a cock and keeps coming in for us
7> Manager acting like a spoilt child
And thats for starters.
Now I read on sky that ferdinand has been seen talking to Peter Kenyon of chelsea.. now losing Stam was bad - losing beckham - ****n stupid.. but if Ferdinand goes.. thats it for being a MU fan for me, I will not stand by as our world class talent goes out for sale yet again.
It is ******* me right off at the moment to the stage where I dont want to watch us play anymore.. I wasted £6 of my hard earned money paying for premplus the other day to watch us get our ass kicked by a relegation bound team.
We had nearly £90m on the bench for that game + Saha/Smith up front... WTF!! Cant we score past norwich with those two up front??? Summat is going wrong somewhere.
And if Fergie cant get them motivated anymore - I honestly think its time for a change of manager I really do.
Chelsea are running away with the league, and arsenal are starting to get momentum again.. WTF are we... 3rd.
Its not good, and the comments coming from Old Trafford about not being able to buy any new players at the end of the season is starting to annoy me also as we are supposed to be the 'biggest' club in the world.. funny that!
The questions I were asking of MU over a couple of years are these:
Stam/Beckham- why let them go - they were world class?
Ronaldinho & Robben- we were on the verge of signing them both- what went wrong there then??
And whats with these panic buys?????
Bloomdido 12-04-2005, 23:47 you need that geezer who is playing in Spain, the one partnering Owen who is married to the posh spice, can't remember his name, plays for England. He would be great as an attacking midfielder and is brilliant at taking free kicks.
Will be very difficult to replace your manager.
He is a nasty, twisted, corrupt, aggresive.....................etc b*st*rd of heroic proportions.
That so reflects on the team.
Well I suppose Roy Keane comes in as a distant second :gag:

PSG and PSV Eindhoven were both angry at Man Utd tapping up their players. PSG accepted a bid from Barcelona that was less than Man Utds as they just didn't want any dealings with them.
Same with Robben. Man Utd have a history of tapping up PSV players.

£90m worth of strikers on the bench?
for starters united should have bought Paul Robinson when he went to spurs for £1.5m instead of having panic buying a keeper this summer. also considering we are the "richest club in the world" then maybe we shouldnt have been so tight with transfers/wages (Ronaldinho, Robben classic examples) also ruud isnt scoring as many the second half of this season as we are playing 4-5-1 come 4-3-3 which means the crosses he used to thrive on from giggs (although for all his talent he should practice them more as they are pretty poor along with his short range passing) and also unfortuantly beckham. now with only natural width coming from c.ronaldo who can struggle to get the ball in the box. we need a wideman and centre mid (like to see steve gerard alongside scholes but that aint gonna happen for obvious reasons). anyway things arn't too bad anyway. yes norich was v.v.poor but we can still get 2nd and FA cup semi to come at the weekend!!!
oh and angelus how do do u get £90m worth of strikers??
ruud £19m + wayne £27m = £47m
even if u include cristiano total is less than £60m
