Ok my and the better half were talking and I can hear TV's on standby, sounds weird,, well it did to him because he cant, but its normal to me if that makes sense!

Can everyone else hear them? Like WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE sound?

I can hear if the kids have left theres on upstairs, I cant hear them on the new HD or LCD tv just the old ones, am I plain crazy or just "normal"?

I've heard about this before, and there is a scientific explanation. Women can hear sounds at higher frequencies than men can, which is why you can hear the high-pitched WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and he can't! :|

Makes sense- the sound must cause vibrations that you can feel. :suspect:

Yes I can...I also can hear him poke his tongue out at me...I can hear me ask him something when he swears I didn't. I actually hear lots of things that he doesn't really. Selective hearing though I call it.:hihi:

If you are, I am. :hihi:

One of my neighbours boilers' external exhaust made the same noise when their boiler was running. Though that was painful to listen to. (I eventually found somone who could also hear that one :hihi:)

No madness here!!
