I think this is what a colleague of mine has, she's currently about 7 months pregnant with her first after a long time of trying and she had to have daily injections in order to reduce her chances of miscarrying.
I'm not sure but maybe this would have flagged up as a problem with your previous pregnancies?

yes i've heard of it, i think if you're suffered a certain number of miscarriages they (are supposed to anyway!) investigate and its something they look for. As gogo says, its treated with injections of something to prevent it happening. Good luck hun

When I was pg someone who went to aqua natal had this but didn't go into it too much.
I know how heartbreaking a m/c is for you and the whole family so the fact that your gp won't test until you have had 4 is unbelievable.
Can you not look and see how much it would cost to have the test done private if not go back to the gp and ask to be referred for IVF treatment.
My gp put me of for a while telling me you have to be off the pill a year try for a year had a m/c so there was nothing wrong etc so waited about 3/4 yours - decided I wouldn't leave the surgery until they agreed to refer but I had to see another doctor who never even questioned it.
When I got my appointment for IVF we were told that the stuff above is crap and we began the process within about 3 months - ends up I am a lazy sod and only one tube works no questions down for IVF.
Got pg naturally and now have a daughter.
So sorry to hear of your awful experience. Ask to be referred to the recurrent miscarriages clinic. I'm sure after 3 m/c you're entitled. The syndrome you refer to is also known as Hughes Syndrome - might help when you put it in google. There was an excellent article in the Star that appeared about last autumn, might be useful if you can find it. A couple were helped by Dr Li - and had a succesful birth afterwards. Apparently, it's cyclical, so really you have to test 3 times, as it can disappear and then re-occur. If you google, Hughes Syndrome, you'll find sites that list other associated symptoms. Many sufferers experience symptoms similar to MS. In some cases aspirin works, apparently, whilst other ladies might need Heparin injections. Good luck.
