Phone rang at lunch time - I answered it and it was a recorded message thanking me for calling Sheffield Newspapers which I hadn't done.

1471 said the number was withheld. I'm on the Telephone Preferences thingy which is meant to prevent unsolicited calls....

Has anyone else had anything similar?

If you've received an AUTOMATED call then I believe teh law is different.

You have to have opted in to a scheme to get them.

So....Sheffield Newspapers are, as far as I can tell, deep in the pooh pile.....
