I don't think High Street pet shops are allowed to sell Puppies as they have to be seen with their birth Mother etc and they have to have all the certificates and other relevant paraphinalia (sp?) before being sold.

Our dog trainer told us that it is best to buy pups and dogs, bitches etc from breeders, its alot safer apperently, but theres a big pet place on the way to nottingham i think that do rabbits. so they might have something. Alternativly go to Rspca and ask about breeders or try barking mad pet supplies- that man knows everything!

Owning a dog is a big responsibility,why not contact one of the dog rescue centers,there are one or two in Sheffield and they will be more than helpful to you if you are serious about owning a pet.

Any good pet shop will not sell dogs, ones that do usually purchase from puppy farms and will end up costing you both financially and emotionally, not to mention the guilt you'd feel knowing you were helping this industry

Alternatively contact alot of breeders, good ones will be helpful and informative, if they can't be bothered to talk to you and help you then how much do you think they care about their animals?
