Can anyone tell me, do you need a digital ariel to receive freeview on this as i've heard different things from different people.. and their call centre are no help. My landlord thinks we do have a digital ariel but he isn't sure, and we just can't get the thing working! :help:

Generally .... Yes.
Some people can get Freeview on an ordinary aerial, but you would lose out on quality.

Hmmm, also been told it may be an old ariel. Can i get one of those internal ariels of the digital variety, it might be cheaper to try that idea before replacing the roof ariel :s

the internal ones are really not worth the money ive tired a few so i could watch freeview on my pc and non of them managed to pic a signal up strong enough to be watchable. your best off gettign a propper external areal it may be a little time and money consuming but it will be worth it :)

oooh how annoying, well i'd gladly pay for it... but we're in a rented house and the landlord doesn't want us messing with lots of drilling and stuff. grrr
