would you like to see yorkshire terrier running later at night and on sundays if so then please vote in this poll and give your reasons why you think it would be better for the city of sheffield.

the only factor that affects whether it will or should run or not is whether the company can make any profit. It's not a charity you know.

Yorkshire Terrier is a business, as Cyclone says.

They operate, I believe, two buses on the 123 services to provide the journeys through the day. They have to make a profit on the buses they run, because I assume that First Mainline have been awarded the Tenders to run the 95 services at the less economic times of the day.

At evenings and weekends there's still a service running, I think, every 15 minutes between Walkley and town for most of the day until about 11pm or so? What's the point of sticking an extra service on every half hour to run empty?

i see terrier buses as the `granny buses' lol... thats who always seems to be on the 120 round here.

if any half decent company goes up against first then lots will switch just because i think were a bit sick of first and there stranglehold on the whole of sheffield

(how bout a poll about if sigma can post without having a poll :heyhey: haha..just messin :) )

Unners,

I was talking about Mainline - YTR don't run weekend services any more.

I frequently get the 1945 from Walkley to town on a Sunday evening (MNL 95) to go to the Forum Meets!

But yes, YTR don't run on weekends, but MNL do, and that's who I was referring to.

The only reason I know is that I live in Walkley and I'm currently developing softwrae for timetabling systems for SYPTE.

The 95 is a great test service! :)
