View Full Version : Sheffield areas, S1,S2.... ocifer99 08-10-2003, 17:44 Hi. I am going to move to sheffield next week. I do not understand how sheffield is organized. What are S1, S2. Which one is nearest to the center? thank you very much. Xtro 08-10-2003, 17:48 S1 and S2 are post code areas. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but S1 is the very city centre itself and S2 is the area just around it. If an address has a S1 or S2 postcode then its a town address anyway I think. mr craig 08-10-2003, 18:07 S1 is the city center, but some parts of the city center are S3.S2 is generally the area just on the very edge of town, and its a very big area! Classic Rock 09-10-2003, 10:05 The Classic Rock Bar is on the edge of town and has a S11 postcode. mikey 09-10-2003, 10:20 S2 stretches up to Heeley and up to Manor, so there is no real logic just areas bunched together. New Age 15-10-2003, 17:07 The S2 and S1 divide is on my street. My house is S2 while the flats about twenty feet away are S1. :D vickyb 19-10-2003, 20:36 i am moving house and have property to let in sheffield 2. it is 3 bed semi with garage and is in nice popular reisdential area close to city centre if you're interested! qazitory 06-01-2004, 19:57 I thought S3 was Wyborn? Bookey 18-01-2004, 00:21 This is just Sheffield its self not anywhere else... Where all the Sheffield postcodes are located.... HERE (http://www.bookey.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/sheffieldforum/sheffieldpostcodes.JPG) :D  Note: Unshaded areas are S1 (City Center) and S14 (Map Point wont let me shade them in  ) Clik32 18-01-2004, 08:08 Wybourn's S2, as is Manor and Manor Park Plain Talker 10-02-2004, 01:03 They radiate out from the centre, which is why s9 (attercliffe/darnall) is next to s3( pitsmoor to infirmary road'/old jessops hospital) and you'll find S2 (manor) next to s9 (darnall) and s13 (woodthorpe to woodhouse) S7 abuts up to s11 as well as s8. s 14 and s12 are side by side (yet, strangely, S12 and S13 are divided by parts of s14) Jon 10-02-2004, 01:06 Originally posted by Plain Talker They radiate out from the centre, which is why s9 (attercliffe/darnall) is next to s3( pitsmoor to infirmary road'/old jessops hospital) and you'll find S2 (manor) next to s9 (darnall) and s13 (woodthorpe to woodhouse) S7 abuts up to s11 as well as s8. s 14 and s12 are side by side (yet, strangely, S12 and S13 are divided by parts of s14) Think you should get out more Plain Talker :D BTW welcome to the forum  Plain Talker 10-02-2004, 01:46 Originally posted by Jon  Think you should get out more Plain Talker :D BTW welcome to the forum  Thanks for the welcome. :D I know, such a saddo, aren't I?
