Just woke up this morning to sound like squeaky toy ..
Had a look and Duffy sat there very strange and realised she was crying. Have had close inspection and she has ripped her jaw away from skin. I have no idea how she has done it.
Have rushed her straight to vets and she has been rushed into surgey, which is where she is now. :O(
That must have been so distressing for both you and her. Scary how easily they can get hurt when they're that small, isn't it?
One of my friends has a cat who sliced all of the tendons in her front leg as a kitten, simply by chasing a ball under the freezer. Nobody was aware that there were sharp bits underneath the freezer (never having turned it upside down to check it) but it happened so quickly it was scary.
Crossed fingers for her.
oh poor little girl , they are resilient while young though im sure she will pull through
She home, very lathargic and not happy. She so annoyed at her collar and just very sad and upset. Its heartbreakin just hearing her cry
Poor baby. I hope she feels better soon :( It's so sad when you know someone is in pain and that theres so little you can do.
she got to be confined to restrict how much she can do.. her mouth is a mess of stitches and she can only eat mushed up gravy food. SHe not a well little baba
its just so hard cos makin it through first couple of nights when she was tiny i thought we got through scary part ;O(
poor baby - hope she gets on the mend soon. We were at the vets on Monday night- after 7 months our rescue bengal finally decided to join the rest of the house and venture downstairs (we'd tried to get her to come out of the bathroom before but she always growled and ran back in again). Anyway, all has been well for a week and she was even cuddling up next to the dobermutt which is real progress - then on Sunday Beauty and our other bengal had an almighty spat resulting in Beauty getting an abcess on her head- lovely. We think they've got it out of their systems now and hopefully we won't have any further scraps but you never know. Then yesterday my friend Donna phoned to tell me Solo (her baby Wegie, Arnie's brother) had jumped on top of the eye-level grill and singed his paws so he was at the vets yesterday too...
Lots of healing hugs to Baby - whatever he did, hopefully he'll know not to do it again xK
