Arathea 06-06-2008, 08:33 PM Hi all !
I'm looking for a restaurant to go out on wednesday night, with around 6 or 7 students.
Obviously, their motto is "the cheaper the better"... Last time we went to Wok Mania but we would like to try something else.
Indian, Chinese, Italian, whatever - but cheap and student-friendly :)
I've not been living in Sheffield for long so I don't really know the best places to go...
If you have any advice... Thanks ! :help: :P
Halibut 06-06-2008, 08:36 PM There are some great noodle bars up on London road - can't recall the name of the one I went in last but it servrd a huge portion of very fine food at a very reasonable price.....
Arathea 06-06-2008, 08:37 PM Is it Noodle Inn ? (I just saw that name on the last page of the thread abt Chinese Restaurants).

May well have been - there's also a Korean dumpling place along there that I've heard good things about.
jemson 06-06-2008, 09:30 PM Defo the ethio-cuban one on Arundel Gate. Cheap, tasty and really well hosted.
Little_Bex 08-06-2008, 02:09 PM Zeugma on London Road - less than £10 for a main course and you can take your own wine :)
tom3t0 08-06-2008, 02:16 PM Some of the places on wicker, one you get 2pc chicken or burger and chips and drink for £2.
Arathea 08-06-2008, 02:31 PM thank you for your answers !
i suggested all those places to my friends, let's see what they will decide... :)

I went to Noodle Inn (London Rd) on Sunday for the first time and I highly recommend them.
Big portions, lovely food and very reasonably priced.
wagamama has 2 for 1 voucher

theripsaw 09-06-2008, 06:10 PM I recommend Balti King... you only pay once but you get to taste it twice

Yeah its Turkish. Not a massive selection for veggies but my mate had a cheesy aubergine thing last time i went and it looked pretty good. Though not as good as my plate of meat :)
Amyvictoria 15-06-2008, 11:09 AM I would recomend Zugma as well, but there is also Shiraz on abbydale road. It's Iranian food, very tasty and very cheep.
