Just to say thanks to the very rude trainer at Ponds Forge.
My wife went today, arrived in good time and had no problem paying.
She got to the room and the women taking the class stood in her way and said that she could not come in because it was full. My wife could see it was not.
She went back for the refund, and the women did not believe her, as she said she would not be able to give her a ticket if it was full. So, she went to see what the problem was. Came back and basically said the woman could not give her an actual reason why (as she knew it was not full, or she would not have been able to give my wife a ticket in the first place).
Very professional.
Customer care in some of these large leisure centres can be rather disapointing i hope your wife complained to the manager i know i would have caused a scene.
Wow thats not good at all.
Have to say I usually find the atmosphere down their really good and the staff helpful.
I agree... your wife should have complained. I go down to Ponds Forge and to be honest they are usually quite good. They do have a dedicated person that deals with complaints and they do tend to sort any issues out.
Don't let it put your wife off going Ponds Forge iit s looking great at the minute what with the new gym, but she should mention it on her next visit (may be completing a comments form?)
She's just recently started going on a regular basis, and up to now has had no problems.
She did get a free pass, to use on her next visit, but, had to wait around for half hour while I came back to get her, reason being I did not have my phone on me and just expected to pick her up when the session had finished.
They are usually ok, it's just the arrogance of this one. Firstly lying, and when someone knew how the system works i.e. no spaces equals no ticket, went to confront her, just basically refusing to accept anymore customers. Even the woman who went to deal with it came back just as confused.
That is sooooo unprofessional but it does not surprise me these days with the kind of instructors that are employed at gyms.

I think they get paid very little, but they know that when they take the job, so there is no excuse...
