My lo is v. active, can be quite a headache on my days off knowing what to do with her. any suggestions. or if any1 wants to meet up.
I feel that she is too old to go to baby groups. like sitting on my knee as she wont keep still.
I havent been swimming with her yet as whether to do a class with her so if any1 can tell me whats good n that.
I am in Chapeltown.
I am quiet/shy so do need a push to get started.

There are some great parent and baby groups around, i go to st marys in high green on a tuesday and a friday and my 2 year old loves it. They can play on bikes, slides, dressing up, puzzles, books etc as well as there being a baby toys area. At the end we all sit and sing nursey ryhmes. We have been going since she was 6 months and it has been a god send to me to keep me sane.

Jellys in town is just the best, plenty for all ages of babes and lots of willing arms to give you a break, its also on 3 days a week more than any other baby group I know of and as anyone that has attended will tell you we are all extremely friendly also nice to meet some fellow forummers

Hiya,

My little boy is 14 months and he is quite manic really!! I've taken him to a children's play centre a few times and he's loved it and it's really worn him out. He can't walk yet but he crawls around and has a great time. I go to Kidz Kingdom in Westfield as it was recommended to me on here. It's free for babies under 1 too.

Hiya - I have a 1 year old who is also very active but I find when he is around other little ones he calms down a lot - I think he gets bored easily and just wants someone to play with.

Hes been this way since birth though so obviously just his nature but I would definitely try going along to Jelly Tots or something like that - I will be going once I start maternity leave in August.
