What is the oddest name for a pet, either your own if you dare disclose it, or someboby elses, any pet, bird, rabbitt, dog, cat etc.

I have 2 dogs, with normal names but wanted to call one Theendoftheworldisnigh. Be an experience seeing what happened when I called him in at 11pm at night.

And, yes I will own up, I have two guinea pigs called Horace and Doris Morris

How about "Wanna Bee"

We have a dog and a hasten to add I did not pick this name but she is called 'Maisie'

Whats wrong with that you may ask - well she is the ugliest Boxer you have ever seen and 'Maisie' just sounds so pretty!

What she lacks in looks though she makes up in personality! We wouldn't be without her...ahh.

We had a family cat called Bugweed... His name was actually Suggies... but went from... Suggie Buggie Wuggies to... Bugweed... dont ask how lol... thats Dad's for ya :hihi: (he was a gorgeous tabby cat... Sadly he died :( )

2 cats called Shovel and Puff Cat (when we take the second one to the vet we say his name is pepper)

Had a friend who owned a myna bird and yes he called it morris :bigsmile:

We currently have two fish called Golden and Raven.... pretty boring I know but chosen by the kids!

We've also had various rats and hamsters over the years called, pasta, pepsi, devo, houdini and twix!

I have a Weirmaraner called Millie who is the most gorgous looking stop stand and stare dog you have every seen...

People come across the street and have to stroke her and when asked her name we say Millie. They then repeat this to her and she gazes into thin air... This is because my our stupid shop keeper feeds her chocolate and sweets and sings Millie-Molly-Moo-oo to her.

She will only answer to that now, so when the public say shes not looking - Millie? i mutter under my breath try Milly Molly Moo they do and her ears go back, her gead tilts and she raises each paw.

over the years ive had a lot of fish, names i can remeber were, flipper, sharky, george, bubbles and squeak

had a hamster called chuckie and one called hollie

a rabbit called snoopy

and a couple of years ago i got 2 kittens what i called bill n ben but they've dissapeared now :(

oh n we had an african grey parrot for a day, lol that i called pete but we gave him to my fellas mum (damn! could have had £500 squid if we'd have sold him! lol) he's quite funny though, swears alot :rolleyes:

My brother got a hamster when he was about eight. The night before he'd watched a Rutger Hauer film on TV called "Escape from Sobibor", about a German Prisoner of War camp.

He called his hamster 'Sobibor'. Luckily none of our Jewish neighbours got wind of this.

He had a name (something simple like Jim) from the previous owner.

Which got lenthened to Chippie Doo Dah by the kids.
Which changed to Mr DooDah as he's no longer a pup.
He also gets called wassack quite a lot as he has an habit of wassing when he gets excited..

We have had a number of cats over the years including Squeek, who couldn't meow and just squeeked, and a ginger tom called Garfield (garf for short). We also had a kitten who we called Duchess, until we took her to the vet, who told us she was in fact a Duke! Still we have a Duchess now (second time lucky), and an Angel.

My great aunt had 2 cats called Bubble & Squeak. My Gran had a cat called Snookums :? and a dog called Rebel, and another aunt had a dog called Hector !?! that was schizophrenic i think :o

I have a large cat called PODGE, was called mouse for a while.... but he started bringing em back so we changed his name.

I had a ginger cat called "Tawny"

Another cat that we adopted, called Sweep. (he was known as "sweepy-peeps" or "eeep" because he was such a timid cat, and al he would do was make these pathetic , terrified little "eeep" noises instead of a proper "meow".

Tawny and Sweep were adopted as adult cats, so we had no say in their names. my previous cats (jazzy included) were all named for jewels... Jasper, Topaz, Emerald.

my next pets will be another dog, which i was going to call Pavlov, and a cat,I was going to have ,called "Shroedinger".

the other day, someone suggested it might be funny to do it the other way round, call the dog Shroedinger, and the cat, Pavlov! I might just do that.

a friend of mine has a dobermann called "Boutros Boutros Doggie"! He's Boutros for short.

In the 1970s whilst serving in Northern Ireland, our section adopted a Jack Russell who used to follow us on our patrols. He stopped at junctions, hiding behind walls until the all clear was given to proceed. (proper little soldier)

We didn't have the heart to leave him behind when the four months was up, so we brought him back to England with us and one of the married blokes kept him at his married quarter as a pet.

Boy was my mate's wife chuffed at having to stand on the doorstep every night, trying to get the dog back in, shouting "Nookie, here!! Come on...Nookie!" with 1000 randy squaddies within earshot. :hihi:
