My poor brother is a vegan, is there any chance any of the options could be vegan if we informed you when we booked. Wouldn't mind taking my family here for my graduation but the vegan needs to eat :hihi:

I went a week or so ago and it was really nice. Excellent food, I highly recommend it. It was quiet, maybe as it was mid week but I would advise people to go and make the most of the offer.

Went for lunch a few months ago - very good.

The Bombardier ale was probably as good as you'll find anywhere in the city centre.

I hope the spelling on the menu is better than on post #2;)


I was abroad when this thread was started, so thanks for restarting it. I'll have to pay a visit. Always seems to have good reviews on here.

I started a thread offering forum members a chance to have a fund-raising race night to raise money for FORUM MEMBERS for free.
It was deleted within an hour!?!
I reply to other venues threads when they're relevent to me/my tastes.
How come- Dove & Rainbow, Devonshire arms, lions lair... can 'hijack' threads & nothings said (no offence meant to the above) but others are deleted/removed?

Its a single informative and useful thread, rather than multiple spamming posts.

I was in Sanctuary a couple of weeks ago when there was a fight between a member of staff and a band member!! Was very scary. The band member had to go to hospital and had a broken jaw! The management didn't seem to care and even watched what was happening with out stopping it. I wont be going there again!

Rather surprised to find the place shut on Bank Holiday Monday @ 7:30pm ??? 4 of us looking for a meal and drinks for the evening.

Is The Sanctuary still open? We walked past one evening, afew weeks ago and it appeared closed.

No they have closed down - shame as it was a good live music venue.

I heard that the brewery shut them down!
