Thanks to ImpInABox's thread in general discussions, I've now discovered this SIG! The last time I looked at the groups there weren't as many as there are now.

So, about me. I'm a keen amateur photographer. I do something called Urban Exploration. The 'hobby' may be more familliar to photographers than the gernal public.

Anyway, the purpose of the hobby (for me) is to get as many snaps of a building as I can before either:

a) I'm caught
b) The building is demolished or converted

I'm a moderator on www.northwestexploration.co.uk where we share our photos. I'm also a contributor to the excellent www.derelictplaces.co.uk and some of you may have heard of www.28dayslater.co.uk - again I used to be a major contributor before it got took over by idiots and trolls and fell apart.

I use a Canon 350D and Manfrotto. Some of my older pics were taken with a Fuji S5600.

My favourite shots are the ones taken from the roof of Beetham Tower in Manchester. A couple have been used in the media.
