Is there a list of who is standing for where yet? Have nominations finished - anyone know when a full list of candidates will be available...

The BBC site allows you to put in your postcode and then shows you all the candidates:

BBC - Seat by Seat (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/vote_2005/constituencies/default.stm)

nice one - only two candidates so far - blind pew and tim 'nice but dim' toryboy - might not get to vote after all :(

closing date for nominations - 19th April 2005

Don't be late...

perhaps Sheffield Forum could get a candidate to stand - now that would be funny, especially if they won :)

I believe that we have a Forum Member standing in Brightside.

Assuming that Jonathon Harston is our own 'jgharston'.

and Sheffield Brightside is the only Sheffield seat without a BNP candidate too - thats really quite strange as they've entered someone in Sheffield Hallam - where they are never going to get in - doesn't make much sense whereas Sheffield Brightside would be an area where they may appeal to a section of the community. Perhaps they've run out of candidates..but we do have a UKIP person standing...so something a bit different to listen to.

Can he confirm that he is the same person - they are the only real alternative in this area to the Labour infestation of our city, I bet Blunkett doesn't do much door to door campaigning - he'll just assume he'll get the votes, which could be a real mistake.

jg is indeed our very own forum member and don't assume anything about David, he's out there with the activists most nights during the election period. Plus, when there isn't an election looming, he spends most weekends in the constituency so he's always available.

I watched all the repeats and I still haven't managed to see myself on TV at the declaration. Oh yes, and some other block being declared the winner ;)
