i got an email from argos about a fault with lindam safety gates. if anyone has one and wants to check if its one of those affected i can send it on to you. if they are they can be taken back to argos for a full refund.

I have bought one from Argos recently, it was the cheapest screw on the wall sort. Is this affected?

its the easy fit premium that are affected, well certain ones.

Just had a look on argos as what mine was called and it isn't called the easy fit. Although they are similar to some second hand ones that we have got and both have broken. The handle has come apart and it means they can be opened easily. My DH has had to fix them both over the last year.
